Chessari (a fitting name for my first typeface) was a mammoth undertaking. It is my entry into type design. I wanted to design a font with a very specific purpose: a serif font ideal for small size screen use.
What makes it ideal is that the base weight is lighter than a standard regular, and it has an unusually high x-height to aid in legebility, along with it’s very open shapes.
