Inspired by a typeface by Harrild & Sons, a defunct British manufacturer of printing machinery and supplies. Original revival was done by the Dinamo Typefaces gang and I worked to extend the family and idea of a double character set. In the words of my favourite type design crew: “Maybe the first typeface we proudly claim to not be a beautiful collection of letters, but a collection of beautiful letters.”
Access to all glyph alternates is available through Open Type’s stylistic sets giving designers the flexibilty to create their own completely modular word-mark.
